WHO IS BEHIND THE AYURVEDA ACADEMY OF COSMETIC FORMULATION
I came to haircare from
personal experience, and it shows.
I write every guide, run every consulting project, and answer every email at the Ayurveda Academy myself.
THE SHORT VERSION
Nineteen years of haircare formulation, seven of them teaching others.
My passion for hair and scalp health didn't begin in my biology classes — it began with my own hair loss. In 2007, I discovered Ayurvedic herbs and started creating my own remedies. They worked, and I saw that natural solutions outperformed the chemical products that only made things worse. That sent me straight into studies, mentorships, and certifications in Ayurveda cosmetology, cosmetic formulation, and trichology — work that revealed the dynamic, specific needs of textured hair. That revelation was the spark. Emulsions, rheology, surfactants, dispersion stability — it's all the same physics. Since 2007, I've applied it to haircare through ingredient research, lab testing, and small-scale product development for other indie brands.
The Ayurveda Academy of Cosmetic Formulation exists because most formulation content online sits at one of two extremes. Either oversimplified recipes with no percentages and no reasoning, or locked behind expensive certification courses. My guides sit in the middle: deeply researched, honestly priced, and written for people who want to understand why a formula works before they scale it.

Seven Rules Every Academy Formulation Follows
These are not marketing values. They are the reasons why our formulas behave the same way in your beaker as it did in mine.
Exact percentages, never ranges. A formula you cannot reproduce is not a formula. Every phase is given to the decimal and the percentages add up to 100.
Every claim has a source. Published research or a supplier technical data sheet. If the evidence is thin, I say so instead of dressing it up.
Preservation is not an afterthought. Water activity, pH, and preservative compatibility are part of the formula design, not a paragraph at the end.
Stability before aesthetics. A texture that collapses at week six is a failed product. Failure modes and fixes are documented alongside the method.
No ingredient gets in on hype. If it does not earn its place at its use level, it does not go in, no matter how well it sells on a label.
Compatibility before claims. A hero ingredient that degrades in your emulsion is marketing, not formulation. Every active must survive the system it lives in — pH, solvent, and co-ingredients — or it isn't in the product.
Written for formulators, not consumers. No hair type quizzes, no trend explainers. Chemistry, percentages, process, and troubleshooting.
Why Learn From The Academy
Formulating great natural haircare shouldn't be trial and error. At the Academy, you learn the science behind the herbs — how to build products that actually work, stay stable, and meet the real needs of textured hair — taught by someone who's done it from the lab bench to the shelf.
